Radio Studio Bookings Assistant

We're looking for a Radio Studio Bookings Assistant to coordinate radio show studio bookings and maintain a positive and efficient working environment for hosts, guests and visitors. They will be an integral part of our radio production team and help us take NTS radio output to the next level.

Part-time

The Radio Studio Bookings Assistant will be responsible for all studio booking communication with NTS resident hosts, assisting hosts with pre-record bookings, documenting show information, allocating appropriate studio spaces, as well as seamless communication with the production team in regards to studio tech requirements. The Assistant will also contribute to general studio maintenance/wellbeing and cover radio production responsibilities when needed

Part time - London / 5 days a week / 30 hours per week / Monday - Friday 11 - 5pm

Responsibilities include

  • Manage Studio Bookings email and follow booking workflow through exceptional organisation and proactivity

  • Provide the best customer service to all resident hosts, guests and visitors to ensure a positive NTS experience

  • Upkeep of the studio facilities

  • Cover basic studio production when required

  • Ad hoc events/running assistance and ability to get stuck in and support the team where needed

  • Daily standups with Head of Radio Production and Studio & Audio Manager to share updates and maintain communication flow

The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking to immerse themselves in radio. They should have an understanding of broadcast processes and equipment and a willingness to learn and get stuck in where needed.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive with great organisational skills. A calm and considered coordinator who can seamlessly manage administrative and organisational tasks to support the rest of the team. The demands and tasks of the day-to-day studio can be unpredictable, so the role would suit someone with a great ability to adapt and troubleshoot. Candidates will have the ability to work with a wide range of people and personalities, both in our production team and community of hosts.

Must Have

  • At least 2 years experience working in radio production

  • A basic understanding of radio broadcast software and hardware

  • Great troubleshooting, communication and coordination skills

  • Passion for music and what we do at NTS

Bonus Points

  • Good experience with technical troubleshooting in a live broadcast radio environment

  • Good understanding of Google workspace, calendar systems and spreadsheets

  • Previous booking experience of any kind within a creative environment

  • 27.5k per year (pro rated to £20,625 per year)

This is a permanent, part-time position based in Dalston, London, UK.
